Since the early '60s when Asahi Glass began manufacturing chlor-alkali products, as the largest chlor-alkali producer in the Asia, we have developed many chlorine derivatives. In the organic chemicals, we can meet your need!

One Carbon: Chloromethanes are used in the paint remover and metal cleaning industries, and as a raw material for HCFC and HFC products and as a solvent for the pharma-chemicals, polycarbonate resin and adhesives manufacturing sectors.

Two carbons: We manufacture Trichloroethyrene, VCM and PVC. Trichloroethyrene is used for metal cleaning and as a raw material for HFC products.PVC is one of the most typical resins in use today. We have the stable and competitive supply, with our through process from EDC to PVC.

Three carbons: We also manufacture propylene derivatives such as Epichlorohydrin and Synthetic Glycerin which are produced by our affiliated company,Kashima Chemical Co., Ltd. Epichlorohydrin is mainly used as a raw material of Epoxy resin. As raw material for use in the pharma-chemical sector, we produce 1.3 Dichloropropene, α-Monochlorohydrinand 1.3 Dichlorohydrin.

Among other downstream products, Asahi Glass also produces Propylene Oxide, Propylene Glycol, etc.
